This series of photographs, taken during my journey from New York to New Orleans, through the deep South of the United States, is part of a long ongoing process of chance meetings I have had while wandering in various locations. In my photographs I look at the people with an open mind, maintaining the balance between stepping into their world while respecting their personal space.
I approach all the individuals I photograph in the same respectful manner and talk with them openly.
